Off-Lease Processing
Today many business enterprises lease IT equipment to avoid ownership issues such as obsolescence and disposal. Leasing out sources those problems to the lessor. However, the lessee still has the contracted obligation to return the equipment in operating condition at lease maturity. As a leasing company, Regal is uniquely qualified to know what is required to IT units for return to the lessors.
Diagnostic Testing
All off units are tested for operating condition and function ability to satisfy lease terms and to capture data specifications.
Certified HDD Wipe
Regal will perform a certified destruction deletion of the hard drive to remove all licensed software and proprietary data.
Repair/Component Replacement
Missing or defaulting components will be replaced and all units restored to operating condition. Non-replaceable or missing equipment will be replaced on a “like for like” basis in the lessee’s return.
Aggregation for Return
Regal will aggregate and warehouse all units to be returned to the lessors at its facilities. After testing, repair, replacement, the equipment is palletized and shrink-wrapped for shipment to the lessor. Our experience in the handling and the logistics of this process are more cost effective than utilizing the lessee’s IT staff.
FMV Valuations
Fair Market Valuations are sometimes necessary for lessees to make the end of lease decisions, i.e. return to lessor or buy the equipment. Regal has assisted many national enterprises with our aftermarket expertise.
